Tsum valley is the most remote Himalayan valley, and was a restricted area that was opened only recently to visitors. This is an area that was once a part of Tibet, so the inhabitants are Tibetan origin, with their own language and unique ways of life. This trail also used to be a trade route between Tibet and Nepal. To get to Tsum valley, we have to enter from the Manaslu Conversation Area, which was opened to travelers just after 2008.This is why this region has less tourist facilities and is more off the beaten path compared to other trekking regionsin Nepal. The Tsum valley trek begins from Arughat after a long bus ride from Kathmandu. After a night at Arughat, the route ascends up through the Budi Gandaki valley. The trail then continues up to the main route of Manaslu until Jagat, and then turns towards Tsum valley. On this trip, you can explore Tibetan villages with their unique cultures, and the many different ancient Gombas that were unseeable before this trail was opened to the public. This is a unique option for travelers who want to visit rarely seen places and cultures that have been largely untouched.

Tsum Valley is a remote Himalayan trek where you will have basic tea house accommodations and basic foods to eat. The cultural and natural beauty will give you a perfect glimpse of high Himalayan life.
