The Island Peak (6,160m/20,210 ft), originally known as the Imjatse, is perhaps the most popular climbing peak in the Everest region. The Island Peak derives its name owing to its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an Island on a sea of ice. Island peak is located on top of the Chukung glacier between Mt Ama Dablam and Mt Lhotse at 6189m of highest with the tough geographical condition to confront. Climbing is more sophisticated at the meantime but reaching the point guarantees you are delighted a lot with the attractive highest glaciated west face from the Lotse glacier.

Journey for Island peak Climbing starts all the way from Kathmandu to Lukla flying for half an hour. Soon after you reach to Lukla your trek till peak is started getting through Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche & finally the Chhukung valley. Chhukung valley after that leads you the way till island peak base camp, your most awaited dream destination. You will also get an opportunity to see the fast growing Imja Lake nearby close to island peak base camp.

The Island peak Climbing can also be organized direct to Island peak and also in option with the trek initially to Everest base camp and island peak thereafter. The teak in option is highly recommended for those who are less experience in climbing peaks. Here for rest for all, the itinerary for all peaks requires physically fit and acclimatized person considered well qualified to make and ascent.
